Quality Assurance (QA) Intern

InternshipHybridShillong, Meghalaya

About the role

At ONLYBEES we are set to build something massive. We are looking for a sharp, autonomous Quality Assurance Intern who is not afraid to break things, and more importantly, is not afraid to fix them.

This is not your traditional, repetitive QA role where you just log tickets and wait. We are offering dynamic independence. You will be on the front lines of our product's quality, tasked with aggressively hunting down bugs, edge cases, and UI/UX flaws. But it does not stop there. You will have the freedom and the expectation to jump into the codebase, work on the solutions yourself, and ensure that what we ship is undeniably market-ready.

Who you will work with

The learning curve here is steep, but you will be working day to day with a tight-knit core of proactive builders who move fast. You will not just be testing, you will be developing. This is a mutually collaborative environment. You will learn the ropes of shipping production-level code, we will rely on your eye for detail, and together we are set to do some truly crazy shit.

Why ONLYBEES

Real-world experience: you will not be fetching coffee, you will be shipping code and ensuring product stability for a growing user base. High impact: your work directly dictates the quality of the product our users interact with every day. The culture: zero red tape, just proactive builders learning, shipping, and pushing boundaries together.

This role reports directly to the Lead Software Developer.

What you will do

  • Break the product: rigorously test our applications to identify bugs, performance bottlenecks, and user experience friction before they hit the market.
  • Fix the bugs: do not just report issues, solve them. You will dive into the stack to patch bugs, write tests, and optimise code.
  • Ensure market readiness: act as the final gatekeeper for quality. You will make sure every feature we push meets our standards and is ready for real-world users.
  • Automate and optimise: help build and maintain automated testing pipelines to speed up our shipping cycles without sacrificing stability.
  • Collaborate: work closely with the engineering and product teams to understand requirements and give feedback on technical design from a quality perspective.

What we are looking for

  • The builder mindset: you are not just looking to test software, you want to understand how it is built and how to make it better.
  • Code literacy: a solid foundational understanding of modern web development, and the confidence to navigate a codebase to implement fixes.
  • Relentless curiosity: a natural talent for finding edge cases and working out why something broke, not just that it broke.
  • Dynamic independence: you do not wait to be told what to do. If you see a problem, you take the initiative to investigate and resolve it.
  • Attention to detail: an uncompromising eye for quality, design, and user flow.
